Glix is a smart parking timer and record manager built for drivers who use paid parking regularly. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Glix mobile application, and clarifies your rights over your personal data.

By using Glix, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We only collect data that is required to deliver core product features, and we prioritize your privacy above all else.

What Information We Collect

We collect two types of information from Glix users: information you actively provide, and non-identifiable information collected automatically to improve app performance.

Information You Provide

• Saved parking lot details you add for faster session setup
• Custom notes you attach to individual parking sessions
• Parking spot photos you choose to upload to your records
• Location details for parking sessions, which you allow us to access through your device
• Any other content you add to your personal parking history within the app

Information Automatically Collected

• Diagnostic data: Crash reports, app performance metrics, and compatibility data to help us fix bugs and improve stability
• Anonymous usage data: Feature usage patterns to help us prioritize improvements to popular tools like spending statistics and session tracking
• Basic device information: Device model, operating system version, and app version, which helps us optimize Glix for different devices

We never collect your location data without your explicit permission, and you can revoke permission at any time in your device settings.

How We Use Your Information

All data we collect is used exclusively to deliver and improve the Glix experience you expect:

• Enable core features: Start/stop parking sessions, calculate fees in real time, and store complete records with location, notes, and photos
• Generate personalized visual statistics to help you track parking spending trends over time
• Allow quick access to your saved parking lots for faster future session setup
• Fix bugs, improve app performance, and test new features requested by our user community
• Maintain the security and stability of the app for all users

We never use your personal parking data for advertising or share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

Data Storage & Security

Most of your personal parking data is stored locally on your device by default. If you choose to enable cloud backup for your records, we encrypt your data both in transit and at rest on our servers. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. You acknowledge that you provide your data at your own risk.

Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal data to any third party. We only share your data in the following limited circumstances:

• When required by law, to comply with valid legal process or regulatory requirements
• To protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights and safety of Glix users or the general public
• With trusted third-party service providers that help us operate Glix (such as cloud hosting and analytics services), who are contractually required to keep your data secure and only process it per our instructions

Your Rights & Control Over Your Data

You retain full ownership and control over all of your data at all times. You can:

• Access and review all of your parking records stored in Glix any time
• Export all of your parking data in a common, usable format at any time
• Delete individual records or all of your data from Glix and our servers permanently
• Adjust or revoke location access permissions through your device settings (note that disabling location will limit core features that require location data for records)
• Update or correct any information you have added to the app

Third-Party Services

Glix may use third-party tools for core functionality like location mapping and cloud storage. These third parties have their own privacy policies governing their use of your data, and we recommend you review their policies separately. We are not responsible for the actions or privacy practices of third-party services.

Children's Privacy

Glix is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information immediately.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or app features. We will notify you of any material changes through the app and post the updated policy in the Glix settings menu, as well as on our official website. Your continued use of Glix after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
