Welcome to Glix

Thank you for choosing Glix, your smart companion for managing paid parking sessions. This agreement outlines the terms for using our application, which is designed to help drivers start and stop parking timers, calculate fees, and maintain records of their parking activities. No account creation or login is required to use the core features of Glix.

✓ Core Principle: Glix is a tool to assist you in managing your parking. It is not affiliated with, nor does it process payments for, any parking authority or service provider. You remain solely responsible for complying with all parking rules and making correct payments.

1. Application Purpose & Functionality

Glix provides the following key features for your convenience:

Session Management: Start and stop timers for your parking sessions.
Fee Estimation: Calculate estimated parking fees based on time and user-input rates. This is an estimate for your reference only.
Record Keeping: Save completed parking records with location details, personal notes, and photos of your parking spot.
Parking Lot List: Maintain a personal list of frequently used parking lots for quicker session setup.
History & Trends: Review your past parking history and visualize spending patterns through in-app statistics.

2. Your Responsibilities

By using Glix, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

2.1 Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all information you input into Glix, including parking rates, session start/end times, and location data. Glix's calculations are based solely on the data you provide.

2.2 Compliance with Parking Rules

Glix does not guarantee the availability of a parking space, nor does it confirm the legality of your parking. You must always observe local parking signs, regulations, and time limits. The app is an organizational aid, not a legal authority.

2.3 Content You Provide

Any notes or photos you save are stored locally on your device. You confirm you have the right to save such content and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

3. Data & Privacy

Glix is designed with your privacy in mind:

Your parking records, notes, photos, and saved parking lots are stored locally on your mobile device.
Glix does not transmit your personal parking data to our servers by default for core functionality.
Certain anonymous usage data (e.g., app feature interaction) may be collected to improve the application. This data cannot be used to identify you or your parking history.
A detailed explanation of data practices is available within the Glix app under Settings > Privacy Policy.

4. Service Availability & Changes

We strive to keep Glix available and functional. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may update the app, its features, or this agreement from time to time. Continued use of Glix after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

5. Limitation of Liability

Glix is provided "as is" for your personal use. We are not liable for any direct or indirect consequences arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to:

Parking tickets, fines, or towing resulting from incorrect information, overstaying, or misuse.
Financial loss due to reliance on fee estimates.
Loss of data stored within the app.
Inability to use the app for any reason.
